  1. I've searched far and wide for weeks trying to find a Christian theme for my desktop, with no results.
  2. Therefore I've created The Cross for the glory of God as a gift for the body of Christ. Please send me
  3. an email if you use and enjoy this theme; if folks use it, I'll be glad to develop more Christian and Biblical themes. God bless!

  8. Installation Instructions

  10. If you don't have Microsoft Plus!, there are several freeware and shareware theme installers out there.
  11. The one I use is called Desktop Themes, available through NoNags:

  16. 1.  Create a folder named The Cross under your Plus! Themes folder.
  17.   
  18.     c:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\The Cross
  19.  
  20. 2.  UnZIP the archive into that folder.
  21.  
  22. 3.  Move the following files to your c:\windows folder:

  24.     The Cross.bmp
  25.     cutequot.scr
  26.     quotes.txt
  27.  
  28. 4.  Choose Fonts in Control Panel and install the tt0857m_.ttf font in the The Cross folder.

  30. 5.  Run Desktop Themes, choose The Cross from the theme list, and choose Apply. Choose
  31.      OK to exit.

  33. 6.  Set up the screen saver using the Display Properties icon in Control Panel. Under Screen Saver/
  34.      Settings, replace quotes.txt with c:\windows\quotes.txt. Make any other changes you prefer and
  35.      click Apply, then OK to exit.

  37. 7.  If the normal select cursor is not showing animation, restart Windows to activate the animations.
